Ch.1 - NEA and AFT

The NEA stands for the National Education Association, while the AFT stands for the American Federation of Teachers. The NEA is the largest professional organization in the nation, which includes about 3 million members. Members of the NEA are accustomed to free legal services and many training opportunities. The NEA is more of a political involvement, for those who have that type of view.
Meanwhile, the AFT has nearly one million members and it is known as a organization looking to make a change in education and working to support standards and the growth of schools and teachers as a whole. The AFT is not as large as the NEA but it battles with a good amount of heart to fight for the teachers and schools.
